• Upgrade of the Podcasts App: The Podcasts app has been upgraded with an enhanced Up Next queue, as well as features like episode filtering and season browsing.

IOS 16: BUGS AND ISSUES, KNOWN AND RESOLVED ISSUES 

The following issues have been raised since the release of iOS 16:

• An iOS 16 Mail bug was able to lock users out of their Mail accounts and cause an endless loop of app crashes. VPN Tracker discovered that sending an email with double quotes causes Mail on iOS 16 to crash repeatedly. iOS 16.0.3 FIXED
• There have also been reports from iPhone 14 users that the Camera app is slow to launch. IN iOS 16.0.3, THIS WAS FIXED
• Incoming calls and app notifications were not displayed for some users. IN iOS 16.0.3, THIS WAS FIXED
• There was an early issue with CarPlay’s low microphone volume. IN iOS 16.0.3, THIS WAS FIXED
• When moving text and images between apps, some users reported receiving excessive “copy and paste” alerts. IN iOS 16.0.2, THIS WAS FIXED
• The optical image stabilisation sensor on the iPhone 14 Pro failed to focus properly due to a problem with the camera. IN iOS 16.0.2, THIS WAS FIXED
• Many users had difficulty connecting to Wi-Fi. In our experience, restarting the iPhone usually allowed it to reconnect to Wi-Fi and install the update. Otherwise, an update can be installed via cellular connection. • After updates, some notes will no longer sync with iCloud. FIXED IN APPLE IOS 16.2
• Some users have encountered battery depletion and other typical concerns, as is generally the case with a new operating system upgrade; however, these issues are usually transient and linked to data re-indexing.
• Apple published a support document near the end of September 2022 warning that activating the new iPhone keyboard vibration feature could deplete battery life. According to Apple, “enabling keyboard haptics may reduce the battery life of your iPhone.”
• In December, iPhone users began to report seeing horizontal lines when their iPhone 14 Pro Max turned on. According to reports, Apple has stated that the problem is with software rather than hardware. IN iOS 16.3, THIS WAS FIXED.
• On the Lock Screen, the wallpaper may appear black. IN iOS 16.3, THIS WAS FIXED.

• There is a possibility that Siri will not properly respond to music requests. IN iOS 16.3, THIS WAS FIXED.
• Siri requests in CarPlay may not be correctly understood. IN iOS 16.3, THIS WAS FIXED.
• Bugs in Messages and Photos that could make iOS vulnerable. IN iOS 16.3, THIS WAS FIXED.

MISCELLANEOUS CHANGES AND NEW FEATURES
